Project Engineer Position in Robotics

Applications are invited for one position of Project Engineer to join the Dynamics and Control Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. The position is purely contractual in nature.

The selected candidate will work primarily on:

• Mathematical modeling of robotic systems
• Design and development of control algorithms
• Simulation of robotic and autonomous systems
• Stability, robustness, and performance analysis
• Implementation and validation of algorithms through simulations and experiments
• Design, development, and testing of robotic hardware platforms

Minimum Academic Qualification

MTech degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics and allied area.

or

BTech degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics and allied area with at least 3-year relevant experience

Desirable experience

Experience in the following areas is desirable:

1. Strong hands-on experience in development and testing of robots
2. Demonstrated skills in hardware design, fabrication, integration, and troubleshooting
3. Good understanding of control systems, robotics, and mechatronics
4. Experience with sensors, actuators, motors, embedded systems, and experimental setups
5. Solid working knowledge of MATLAB

Salary: 33,000/- (Consolidated)
